How many trees can you remove?

  1. It is advisable to remove trees that are dead, afflicted with disease, or pose a hazard, in order to prevent potential damage or spread of infection to other trees.
  2. For the removal of healthy trees, there is a limit of two per year. However, this requires completing an over-the-counter permit/sign-off form.
  3. Owners of properties exceeding 10,000 square feet have the allowance to remove a greater number of trees, proportional to the size of their property. Note that a clearing and grading permit is mandatory for the removal of more than ten trees.
